Robert Dick - the baker and botanist of Thurso 1811-1866. His pressed herbarium collection is in Caithness Horizons museum. Dunnet Head was one of his favourite places to visit. Robert Dick moved to Thurso in 1830, Dunnet Head Lighthouse was build in 1831. In the 1879 biography of Robert Dick by Samuel Smiles, Robert Dick mentions visiting Brough Harbour.
